Home Grown Trainees Achieve AAT Success

Dutton Moore’s continued commitment to the future and Hull talent sees another three young trainees pass their first round of Accountancy exams.
Dutton Moore Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers in Silver Street, Hull, has always prided itself in nurturing staff, employing from the local community and retaining staff for long, successful careers in the profession.
In 2007 the firm employed Ryan McKenna, 20, Sophie Hopkins, 21 and Tom Rainbird, 21, and they have now all successfully completed their Association of Accounting Technician (AAT) qualifications. They are all now moving on to study for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) ACA qualification, which requires a further four years of on-the-job training under an ICAEW Training Contract at Dutton Moore.
Ryan, who attended Wyke College, Sophie from Selby College and Thomas, from South Hunsley School, all joined the firm to obtain their professional accountancy qualifications under specialist training contracts provided by the firm. They have all completed the AAT course in two-years – and all with first time passes!
John Gilleard, partner and head of Dutton Moore’s training department, said today: “These three trainees are a fine example of our commitment to our staff and their training programmes. All three are from local schools and colleges and proof of our commitment to investing in this city and pooling from the high calibre of staffing resources we have on our doorstep.
“Most of the partners at this practice are home-grown talent who have been at Dutton Moore for many years. These staff continue to reflect our desire to nurture and train the accountants of the future by equipping them with the professional qualifications and practical expertise necessary to ensure that our clients continue to be well served in the future.”
